Are you using Instagram to promote your Etsy shop?
If so, you’re probably wondering how to get more out of it.
The more followers you have, the more people you can reach and the more people are seeing your products.
I’m not talking about buying fake followers that have zero interest in what you have to sell.
I’m talking about thousands of your ideal customers who have a need and desire for what you make!
Wouldn’t it be great to reach so many of your right people?
In this post, I’ll show you how to get tons of new followers quickly.
I wouldn’t share any tips or strategies with you that I haven’t tried on my own handmade jewelry business, Tiny Hands.
Last year I grew my Instagram following from 2,000 followers to 14,000 followers in 9 short months.
That’s about 1,000 new followers every month.
I didn’t spend all day on Instagram, either.
I only posted once a day and I wasn’t commenting on people’s profiles for hours on end.
Makers like you and me are busy people – we need to split our time between designing new products and marketing our shop.
It’s important that we spend our time wisely doing things that matter.
Here’s how you can get 10,000 Instagram followers in a few short months:

Collaborate with influencers
Find larger profiles to feature your work. I call these profiles influencers.
They’re like mini celebrities, but on social media instead of Hollywood.
The more followers and the higher their engagement, the better it is for you.
Be sure you and your target influencer share a similar audience.
When an influencer features your work on their profile, when done correctly, it can multiply your following overnight.
I once had a musician post pictures of my jewelry and in just 48 hours, I got 2,000 new followers and dozens of sales.
This was my primary strategy for growing my following of targeted customers.
One of my students, Vanessa, used this strategy I teach in my online course In The Limelight.
She reached out to an influencer with 6,000 followers and in four days, Vanessa got almost a hundred new followers and she even made a sale!

Build your community
Alternatively, you could engage with your ideal customers on Instagram.
Find them using hashtags they might use in their posts.
Like, comment and follow them.
The more you engage with your customers, the more likely they will want to check out your profile and become your new fan.
I use a very specific system to execute this strategy and it’s getting me 400-500 new followers every month, and I do absolutely zero work every week to make that happen.
That means I get to spend time doing things I actually enjoy, like creating and making jewelry!
